If you are not living under a rock you would have already heard about Amazon Kindle. Amazon Kindle offers services on book reading. They have hundreds and thousands of books and Especially in the lock-down when getting a hard copy is a problem. Reading digitally is the future. I used Kindle for a month and I will share my experience with you.
How to Use Kindle?
There are devices on amazon called Kindle readers but you don’t necessarily have to have a Kindle device to read books. You can download the app in android, ios or read directly in your browser on Windows. I personally use kindle and I can vouch that it is the best service out there in the book reading arena.
What is Kindle Unlimited?
Kindle Unlimited offers you a reading choice between a wide array of topics. It covers fiction, non-fiction and all other imaginable books. The best part about Kindle Unlimited is that it offers you a free 30 day trial period and you only have to pay further if you liked the contents. The amount of books that I read while in the free period, I have not ever read that much ever. I definitely will extend my kindle unlimited account. It only costs INR 169 per month and is very affordable. Now that we know what it is and how it is used let’s see the benefits of using an Amazon Kindle Unlimited.
Take it Anywhere
I know with the lockdown and unlocking, things are a bit haywire but with amazon kindle unlimited, you can read anywhere. You don’t have to worry about things like the physical size of a book or keep holding it and worry about keeping it safe from water or things like that. Kindle is either a device that you own or an app in your android or ios phones that you can take anywhere and read even while you are travelling and on the go. Long gone are the days when you had to worry about keeping the physical copy of a book safe.
Kindle Unlimited offers a wide variety of stories that you can read for free. They range from Preeti Shenoy’s short stories to Chetan bhagat novels, From harry potter series to hunger games series. From regional languages to best self-help books. Kindle Unlimited has it all.
Read like a Pro
One of the major things that made me keep using the kindle app again and again was how easily I was able to bookmark pages, highlight them and not just this but also add as many comments as I liked wherever I wanted. I would not have to remember how much I had read because the app opened it from exactly where I had left off and even told me how much progress I had made and how much time it would take me to finish my book. Isn’t that amazing!
The app in addition to all the advantages listed above also has the feature called Library. With the amount of books that you read keeps ever increasing, especially with kindle unlimited, there will be a digital bookshelf that will contain all the books that you have ever read. I loved this feature because it allows you to take a screengrab and post it on social media. (wink, wink)
Other Features of Kindle Unlimited
But kindle unlimited is not restricted only to these features, small things like you want to keep scrolling and reading the book or do you want to flip pages; how much brightness do you want on your screen; what should be the text size; do you want to turn pages with your volume buttons; getting the meaning of difficult words by simply touching on them and whether you want the time to visible when you read or not are just some of the many features that are offered by the app.
The Cherry on the Top
The cherry on the top is that if you subscribe to amazon kindle unlimited you get free access to millions of titles for free! Now that you know that you don’t need to own a Kindle device to read on amazon kindle, what are you waiting for? Download the app and get unlimited books in your hands.
